Who We Are
Our Brief History
Green Garden College of Health Sciences and Technology, Gusau, is a private health training institution established in the year 2023 with the aim of contributing to the development of skilled healthcare professionals in Zamfara State and Nigeria at large.
At its inception, the college obtained the necessary approvals from the Zamfara State Ministry for Higher Education and the Ministry of Health, which authorized it to operate as a recognized institution for training middle-level health workers. These approvals marked the official commencement of academic and administrative activities within the college.
In the same year, 2023, the institution achieved a significant milestone by securing full accreditation from the Health Records Officers Registration Board of Nigeria (HRORBN). This accreditation enabled the college to run programmes in Health Information Management, ensuring that students are trained according to national professional standards.
As part of its continuous growth and commitment to excellence, the college expanded its accreditation status across other health programmes. In 2024, it obtained accreditation from the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN), allowing it to offer training in Pharmacy Technician programmes.
Furthermore, in 2025, the institution recorded additional achievements by securing accreditation from the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN) for Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) programmes, as well as from the Dental Therapists Registration Board of Nigeria (DTRBN) for Dental Therapy and Dental Surgery Technology training.
Similarly, in 2026, the institution again recorded another additional achievement by securing accreditation from the Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria (MLCN) for Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) programmes.
These successive accreditations reflect the college’s dedication to maintaining high academic standards, regulatory compliance, and professional excellence. Since its establishment, Green Garden College of Health Sciences and Technology, Gusau has remained committed to producing competent, ethical, and community-oriented healthcare professionals who can effectively contribute to improving healthcare delivery, especially in underserved areas.
